Daniel 2:21 declares, โ€œHe changeth the times and the seasons…โ€

What a powerful reminder that God is in control of everythingโ€”history, leadership, lifeโ€™s transitions, and even the personal struggles we face. Absolutely NOTHING happens outside of His authority, and no season lasts forever. Just as the world experiences changing seasons, our lives go through different phases, all guided by His divine plan.

In Scripture, โ€œtimesโ€ often refer to specific moments or periods that God has set in place. These are not random; they are part of His greater purpose. Acts 1:7 reminds us of this when Jesus told His disciples, โ€œIt is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.โ€ This means that some things are beyond our control and understanding, and we must trust in Godโ€™s timing rather than our own. Psalm 31:14-15 echoes this truth, โ€œBut I trust in you, O Lord; I say, โ€˜You are my God.โ€™ My times are in your hand…โ€ Our lives are not accidents or coincidencesโ€”every moment is held in Godโ€™s hands.

Seasons, on the other hand, represent periods of change, whether in nature or in life. Genesis 1:14 shows that from the very beginning, God established seasons to mark times and transitions. Ecclesiastes 3:1 expands on this, saying, โ€œTo everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.โ€ This means that life will not always stay the sameโ€”there are seasons of joy and sorrow, waiting and breakthrough, struggle and growth. Each one serves a purpose in shaping us according to Godโ€™s will.

This truth is important to remember in todayโ€™s world. When life feels uncertain, we can rest in the fact that God is still in control. The rise and fall of leaders, the changes in our personal lives, and even global events are all under His authority. No matter what we face, whether challenges or blessings, we must trust that God is working behind the scenes for our good.

We also need to be patient with the timing of our lives. Sometimes we want things to happen faster, or we struggle to understand why we are going through difficult situations. But just as seasons in nature cannot be rushed, Godโ€™s timing is always perfect. We may not see the full picture now, but He knows exactly what He is doing.

And what this also means is that when it’s your time to win, you cannot lose! Because God determines our victoriesโ€”not ourselves, not a motivational speaker, not the obeah man or woman, not even the opinions of others. When God says it’s your season, no one can stop it!

No rejection letter, no missed opportunity, no delay, no enemyโ€™s scheme can overturn what He has ordained. The job that seemed out of reach, the breakthrough youโ€™ve been praying for, the doors that once remained shutโ€”when itโ€™s your appointed time, they will open because God’s favor is greater than any obstacle.

So donโ€™t be discouraged by setbacks or by those who try to discredit what God is doing in your life. Your season is in His hands, and when He says itโ€™s time, nothing and no one can stand in the way of your blessing!

Above all, we must remember that no season lasts forever. Hard times will pass, and good times should not be taken for granted. Through every change, we must remain faithful, knowing that Godโ€™s purpose is unfolding exactly as He planned. Daniel 2:21 reminds us that nothing happens outside of His control. Our role is to trust Him, seek His wisdom, and walk in faith no matter what season we find ourselves in.

I declare God’s perfect will over your life. Amen
